04.09.2004 Home Sweet Home!
So… we're finally in the flat at last, Still no internet connection, but I've popped back to Steph's folks house with the laptop and borrowed their internet connection (Why shouldnt I…? I pay for it after all!). ;o) So what can I say about the place… Well it's a nice size, not huge, but plenty big enough for two people. We had a lot of hard work getting all the flooring down and what not, but we got there in the end.
Turns out the sofa we ordered (made from a herd of dead cows from the looks of it!) was slightly bigger than we anticipated. Didn't bother the delivery men a bit though… they unscrewed the front door popped it off and used a bit of brute force to get the sofa through the hallway. Still… it looks good now it's in the living room, carefully positioned on our medium oak wooden floors. Looks sweet.
Only problem is… I'm now broke. The sofa cost me the best part of a months wages and the cheque from my insurance company is all but gone on carpets/flooring and other junk. Just about got enough money left to pay the bills for the month and pay the ADSl connection fees and whatnot and then until payday… the pot is officially empty. *sigh*
I'll be blogging regually again in a week or so.
