31.05.2005 Expert I am… Yessss…

It seems to me that I've finally started to be regarded as a bit of an expert my field. I've recently been paid a large sum just to create a report analysing a clients website. This came about after a five minute phone call with the customer. It seems that five minutes was all it took to convince the client that I knew what I was talking about and he agreed to pay the amount up front as well! It's a bit of a shame really, that it's at this stage of my career that I'm taking a jump and leaving the whole industry behind. Well… not completely, but I won't be building much for other people anymore anyway.

It's finally gotten to the point now where my business needs more than just part time input so I'm ditching the day job and making my business number one priority instead of putting all my energy into making someone else rich. However, saying that I'm still going to be doing an evening job to help with the financial support side of it. It's not that the business couldn't support me, it's just I would rather use that money to expand the business for as long as I can.

Finally… apologies for the lack of frequent updates. I just don't have the time and can't be arsed to make the effort anymore. If you need something to read, check out some of the peeps on my blogroll… I'm sure theres something there that will tickle ya fancy!

I've been thinking lately that swearing just isn't having the desired effect anymore. It seems that curse words have become the norm and this kind of ruins the impact. To combat this, I've come up with a new range of combo-cursewords that allow you to double the impact of a normal swearword by combining two (or more if you so choose) swear words into one.

For instance,

TWUNT - combination of tw*t and c*nt.
BITCHARD - b*tch and b*stard.
SHUCK - sh*t and f*ck
MOTHER WUNKER - w*nker and mother f*cker

I'm sure with a bit of imagination loads of other combo-cursewords are possible. Feel free to post in the comments with your own combination swearwords and when mummy or daddy ask you where you heard such super foul language tell the mutha wunking twunts to come to greendezire.com! >;o)

Who else thinks that instead of using the likes of U2 in their “shadow people” iPod ads, Apple should use the ultimate funkmeister Jamiroquai? I could just imagine him dancing to his new choon “feels just like it should' or 'Virtual Insanity' iPod stylee. I reckon it would look ace! 18.05.2005 Still busy busy busy…

It's amazing how little you appreciate free time to muck about and do very little until you don't have it any more. I'm still up to my eyeballs with business stuff and other general life things and then a week or so back I did a humpty dumpty and fell off a wall hurting my neck, shoulder and bruising my kidneys. The accident put me out of action for a week or so which has led to a backlog of work and left me even busier. Typical aint it?

02.05.2005 Ou Et Le Redesign?

It's not happening… well, not for now anyway. I'm far too busy faffing about with the new laptop and various other bits and bobs to have time for the planned redesign. So… for now, your'e just going to have to make do with the old one. )
